The deadline to donate to the 2011 Project Wenzhou fundraiser is Monday, October 31. The 2010 fundraiser collected $4,049.  As you can see from the photos, the orphanage was able to buy many items with these funds.  Thank you again to the generous donors.

Request for Oct. 2010 Funds

I apologize for this late post.  On November 24, 2010, I received the following email about the Wenzhou orphanage:

They currently have 370 children in the orphanage.  They would like to have a library and would like to purchase the following:

2 computers
1 printer
2 cabinets
Books
10 new tables
40 new chairs

I accepted the request on behalf of the donors, and the Wenzhou orphanage extended its thanks to the donors for thinking of the orphanage.  They appreciate the generosity!

$4,049 Raised (2010 Fundraiser)

Great news!  Project Wenzhou 2010 was a success, and $4,049 was raised to help the children at the Wenzhou orphanage.  Since September 2006, Project Wenzhou has raised $22,654.92. Thank you!

Photos From Oct. 2009 Donations

The October 2009 fundraiser collected $4,824.  The orphanage gave us three choices on how to use the funds (computer, sound system, projector/camera for showing movies to the kids; rehab equipment; or clothing).  Well, it turned out that the orphanage was able to make the money stretch and purchased all the items listed.  Here are the photos of the items bought from the Oct. 2009 fundraiser.  Enjoy!

Request for Oct. 2009 Funds

I apologize for this last post, but on November 13, 2009, I received the following email from CCAI:

We have heard from the orphanage.  They want to thank you for again being so thoughtful and generous.  The donations are very much appreciated.

They have suggested three different purchases and ask that you choose which one you prefer to use the funds for:

1.  Computer, sound system, projector/camera for showing movies to the kids

2.  Rehab equipment

3.  Clothing

After consulting with fellow Wenzhou adoptive parents, I informed CCAI that we would like the funds to be used in the following order: (1) computer, sound system, projector/camera for showing movies to the kids; (2) rehab equipment; and (3) clothing.

$4,824 Raised (2009 Fundraiser)

Great news!  Project Wenzhou 2009 was a success, and $4,824 was raised to help the children at the Wenzhou orphanage.  Since September 2006, Project Wenzhou has raised $18,605.92. Thank you!
